Thematic history

I'd like to invite everyone interested in how to structure history courses around enduring themes to share ideas here. By enduring themes I mean large topics that reoccur throughout U.S. and other national or regional histories. For example a U.S. history course could be structured around themes such as : the search for social justice, the search for national security, the search for economic opportunity, the changing nature of federalism, technology and society, and human environmental…
